The Eventure process

Eventure Karlstad is based on a four-step process.

• Nomination
• Selection
• Pitch training
• Matchmaking event

Nomination:
Eventure Karlstad addresses innovative environments, and organisations from all of the Nordic countries can nominate participants. The nominees must fulfil the requirements set by Eventure Karlstad.

Selection by a professional jury:
An external jury assesses the nominees and selects eight companies for participation in the event. The nomination criteria are the starting point for the selection. The jury consists of people with professional competence, such as investors, project assessors and advisors to companies in the relevant phases.

Pitch training:
The purpose of the pitch training is to help the participating companies understand how investors think and act. The training includes meeting professional advisors in the fields of presentation techniques and business development. By preparing the participants to introduce themselves and their companies in an appealing, tangible and brief way, Eventure Karlstad sets the stage for a rewarding event for investors as well as participating entrepreneurs.

The pitch training runs for two days and ends with a dress rehearsal the day before the matchmaking event. In addition to the very training, the participants are given the opportunity to attend several expert seminars dealing with investor preparations, corporate appraisal and other relevant matters.

Matchmaking event:
Eventure Karlstad 2010 will take place 26 of May 2010. The selected companies then present their business concepts to the investors, each presentation taking about 7 minutes.
